Why shipping weight changes the comparison
Two similar results can have very different delivery context. Rigid boxes, thick soles, metal hardware, protective inserts, and bulky shapes add mass or volume. A cheaper source may not be cheaper after those factors are included.

A saved cost, an estimate, and a quote are different
A shipping number saved in a spreadsheet may be an old observation or only a planning figure. An estimate should state the item count, packaging, weight basis, dimensions, route, currency, and date. A current quote should also name the responsible provider and explain how long it remains valid.
None of these numbers guarantees route acceptance, customs treatment, delivery time, or final charge. Recheck the actual packed parcel with the service handling the shipment.
Categories that are often heavier
Shoes
Soles, pairs, boxes, and shape-protecting material can add meaningful packed weight.
Bags
Hardware, structure, and protective filling can increase both mass and parcel volume.
Watches and accessories
The item may be small while cases and protective packaging make up much of the parcel.
Electronics
Retail boxes, cables, cases, adapters, and protective material should be counted.
How to treat calculators and estimates
Record the source of the estimate, the date, the unit, whether packaging is included, and whether the calculation uses actual or volumetric weight. Use a range when the item has not been packed.
Do not copy an estimate into a spreadsheet as a guaranteed charge. Carrier, warehouse, route, dimensions, repacking, and current service rules can change the result.
